My stride for the entire marathon, and the reason I don't do road races. Exaggerated leaping is slightly more justifable if there are rocks and roots below your feet.
Zane Grey Highline 51 Miler, 2006, starting line.
Zane Grey Highline, the trail.
I nearly tripped over every single one of these rocks.

If I'm feeling good at the end of a long run, then Ensure (well, actually the store brand fake ensure which is half the price). If I'm feeling bad at the end of a long run, then nothing like cold mexican beer with lime to make it all better.
If I'm with the Rogue group, then it's always Tecate. Otherwise, Shiner Bock.
Either way, beer.
Pabst Blue Ribbon!
if we are talking mexican beers, there is something about an ice cold Bohemia that makes my stiff legs feel so much better.
beer! any cold beer.
(but I've never tried the other ones...)
You coming out to do OP50 in March??? Race fills up within the first week of registration...
Can you believe I haven't tried the first two and the last one I don't like? hmm...
I used to drink a slimfast after a long run. Lately its been a froufrou Starbucks drink. Beer is good for later in the day. : )
Beer, it does a body good
I am going to cast a second vote for beer, just because it's so damn good!
Beer with ice...the water helps hydration. The night before a race..I have a Guiness - for stength :)
Oops sorry.....misspelled (strength) :(
My own homebrewed beer! (Although I did have a 4-finger shot of Maker's Mark whisky after completion of my 1st 100-miler).
Beer! Preferably a Hefeweizen.
Beer. Preferably dark but if someone has an outstretched arm w/ a cold "some kinda beer" bottle, can, cup...I am there!
Yay! It's Moogy!
Beer! I try to get down a little water or a cold Coke; recoverite is good though taste is marginal..but then it's beer!
