My stride for the entire marathon, and the reason I don't do road races. Exaggerated leaping is slightly more justifable if there are rocks and roots below your feet.
Zane Grey Highline 51 Miler, 2006, starting line.
Zane Grey Highline, the trail.
I nearly tripped over every single one of these rocks.

Clif bar, though I'd prefer a shot of jager.
Power Bar, banana or peanut butter flavor. Clif Bars taste too much like real food, and if I'm going to eat real food then I want to eat REAL real food.
I can't eat either. I don't know how anybody can eat that crap.
Clif Bar. Not a big fan of Power Bars.
clif bar, chocolate brownie (as a post race snack, not before a run/race)
I ate a cookies and cream power bar before S&S and it tasted good and felt great in my tummy pre-race...
okay, it's a tie. i like one before a run/race, and one after.
Java Chip Clif bar. Do they still make those? I haven't had one in a while.
I'm a fan of the clif bars. i tried a power bar once, but had a really hard time opening the package
Clif Bar
Clif Bar w/out a doubt.
Clif
I'm allergic to soy and gluten so I go for a Perfect 10 Natural Energy Bar. Made of dried fruit, nuts and seeds - no preservatives. Ideal for pre-race and post but a little heavy for race itself. If I can't get those I go for Lara Bar but they don't have the fiber from the seeds that Perfect 10s have (poppy, flax, sunflower, pumpkin seed). v.tasty!
