My stride for the entire marathon, and the reason I don't do road races. Exaggerated leaping is slightly more justifable if there are rocks and roots below your feet.
Zane Grey Highline 51 Miler, 2006, starting line.
Zane Grey Highline, the trail.
I nearly tripped over every single one of these rocks.

Caffeine, and as much as I can get! Double-caff gels over single-caff gels any day. The new caffeinated clif bloks have a double-dose of caffeine, love them.
I can never get enough caffeine!
I never really notice whether they're caffeinated or not. But I'll vote for the caffeine too. A cup of coffee is a pre-long run, pre-race necessity.
Caffeine and as much as possible. I have a high tolerance so I need it in high doses.
defintely caff! Especially since I gave up soda. Need to get it somewhere!
Caffeine, all the way
caffeine - but only when I need it. No need to dehydrate my body if I'm doing okay...save it for later in the run/race. Unless it's a short run/race early in the morning.
